  1. I haven’t had soda for more than 15 years. But after hearing that they want the big ones banned, I want soda now — I want really BIG -SUPER BIG sodas!! And, I refused to go to SA — soda anonymous.

This is how crazy this city is getting. This really happened: I was recently threatened by 2 New York City police officers because I placed I shopping bag on a bench in a subway station — where no one was sitting (In fact, no one was in that part of the station but me) — out of nowhere — 2 officers approached me with ticket books in hand and one said, “You’re getting a ticket if you don’t move that bag off the bench IMMEDIATELY!” True story. No exaggeration. You can’t make this stuff up.

it is becoming difficult for fiction writers…try to top reality? No way…too outlandish. I don’t even try any longer. I take true events, and bits of languge, and incorporate them into my fiction. Bush was trying to validte his extensive use of the death penalty in Texas when he was running for Prez. He said, “I believe that our use of the death penalty reaffirms the sense of sanctity of life we all share.” I used it for a judge sentencing a character in a story. Readers commented on how utterly insand it sounded, and congratulated me on my oriiginality. I quietly accepted their compliments.

Ridiculous! I can just imagine the chaos. No one will tell me what to drink much less how much. He has lots of time on his hands that’s what it tells me. Concentrate on more important issues instead.

So true. Took that pic because I heard about the new prohibition movement. Doomed. When have they ever succeeded? Soda smugglers, speakeasys, and black market large-sized sodas…too funny.

      • soda pop speakeasies … hmm, it all might be worth it if it means we get don corleone back, mumbling about offering us high fructose corn syrup we can’t refuse.

“You want me to get a shot of that?” the wife said, looking at the ambushed soda cup. “Yeah,” I said. “You never know when such events come in handy.” She plays along with my random-acting, I have a shrine in her honor in my mnd.

eh. Next week you will be able to swim in an Oympic sized swimming pool of soda after the revolt is over 🙂

Way too big brother for me. I’ll choose what and how much I drink, thanks.

Banning anything has rarely worked…in fact, it usually backfires. If people want something, they’re going to get it, and as much of it as they want.

    On my Way….

  6. Ha…just found the stick! I can only imagine the chaos after the soda ban announcement. Be careful and advise The Philosopher Red to gather his few belongings and vamoose. Soda ban High Alert.

I was going to make him Bloomberg’s front man in Costa Rica, but the electricity and internet are phasing in and out now. Must be having an earthquake…no time for long posts. Should be feeling tremors any time now. “Let Them Drink Soda…” the battle cry.
Later…if the walls are still standing.
