Crucifying My Inner Monkey

And a thousand thousand slimy things lived on; and so did I – Samuel Taylor Coleridge “The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner

I told a “friend” about an idea I had for a simple post.  He stole the idea, the photo, and who knows what else.  Got to love some people.

Love the photo. How unfortunate your “friend” doesn’t understand ideas are limited and worth nothing. It’s the execution that gives value.

  2. Fun photo. Great quote. Lousy “Friend”.

Yuck. You should send this ‘friend’ a box of Crabbies!!

  4. “and who knows what else.” Your respect.

That would be included. I’m O.K. with that though, I have a bottomless bucket of ideas and words, he has a leaky zip-lock bag in which he stores what he liberates. Like Charlie Chaplin said, “It’s all a gag in the end.”

The purple-assed baboon strikes again. I’ve got something coming up for him though. I’m a mellow guy, until thieved from by my own inner thoughts.

  6. Good rule of thumb? Never tell anyone about one of your ideas…The most “trustworthy” of friends will not hesitate to steal a great one…sorry to hear you got shafted. 😦

All is good. The Philosopher Red has done this before, and he has suffered the agonies of depending on me for literary life and content. All I have to do is shut him off for a day, and he realizes the error of his klepto way of showing appreciation for my creative process.
